Over the past 15 years, Simsbury has experienced steady and significant growth—and all signs point to more on the horizon. That growth is a sign of our town’s strength, but it also brings new challenges. As more families move in and new neighborhoods are built, the demand on town services continues to rise. From our roads and parks to our schools and senior services, we need to make smart, forward-looking investments to ensure we don’t fall behind.
One of the most critical areas we must keep pace in is public safety. Our emergency response infrastructure needs to grow along with our population. That’s why a key part of my platform is securing funding for a second ambulance available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Every resident deserves to know that in an emergency, help is on the way—without delay. This is about preparedness, about protecting lives, and about ensuring Simsbury remains a safe, responsive, and well-managed community as it continues to grow.
During my previous term as First Selectman, I led Simsbury through the unprecedented challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic. I worked closely with our public safety partners and the Farmington Valley Health District to ensure clear communication and coordinated response efforts. I made it a priority to give our town staff the resources and support they needed to continue serving residents safely and effectively. And during this difficult period, we delivered a modest tax reduction—supporting residents and businesses alike while continuing to provide the essential services our community depends on.
