Why I’m running

I'm running for First Selectman of Simsbury as an independent because I believe the challenges we face—as a town and as a country—won’t be solved by one political party alone.

Too often, our politics push people into corners. The louder the rhetoric, the less we listen. And when we stop listening, we stop solving problems.

That’s not how I lead.

When I previously served as First Selectman, I appointed a member of the opposite party to be my Deputy First Selectman. Not because we agreed on everything—but because we shared a commitment to our community, to respectful dialogue, and to getting things done.

Now more than ever, we need reasonable people to work with reasonable people. We need leaders who will listen, collaborate, and make decisions based on what’s best for the community—not party talking points.

My campaign isn’t about left or right. It’s about Simsbury. It’s about bringing people together to address real issues with practical, common-sense solutions. That’s what independent leadership looks like—and that’s why I’m running.

About me

I have a long track record of public service and collaborative leadership. I’ve served six years on the Board of Selectmen, including four years as Simsbury’s First Selectman. During that time, I focused on strengthening Town services, protecting open space, and leading with fiscal responsibility.

Professionally, I am a small business owner and I work with companies to improve efficiency and reduce costs—expertise I can bring directly to local government. I live in West Simsbury with my wife and daughter.
