Affordability
Connecticut is one of the most expensive states in the country—and Simsbury is no exception. People choose to live here because of what we offer: top-tier schools, beautiful parks and open spaces, and a strong sense of community. But those strengths come with a responsibility—to ensure that Simsbury remains a place where middle-class families can not only dream of living, but afford to stay.
That’s why I believe we must keep taxes at or below the rate of inflation. We need to be disciplined stewards of public dollars—investing in the services that matter most, while making smart, cost-effective decisions that avoid unnecessary burdens on taxpayers. It’s not about doing more with less—it’s about doing what matters, and doing it well. Affordability and quality of life shouldn’t be trade-offs. With the right leadership, we can—and must—deliver both.
I have experience leading this kind of work. I’m a business owner whose job is helping organizations operate more efficiently. I work with companies every day to help them streamline operations, reduce waste, and get the same work done with fewer resources. That’s exactly the kind of thinking we need at Town Hall—practical, cost-conscious, and focused on results.
